Synopsis

This auto ancillary foresaw the coming of the electric vehicle (EV) age way back in 2012. In its annual report that year, it quoted a study that projected a significant jump in EV two- and four-wheelers by 2020. In just five years, in 2017, it noted: “We are at the forefront to capitalise on this opportunity, given our track record of being the first and the only manufacturer in the country to supply gear lever to electric cars…” Fast forward to 2024: Almost 40% of its order book comes from EVs. Foresight apart, this company was also fortunate on another front: Its product mix. Read on to know why.
