India collected 1.87 trillion rupees ($22.25 billion) in goods and services tax in October, 9% higher than the same period last year, the government said on Friday.
The government had collected 1.72 trillion rupees in October 2023. After refunds, the government’s net tax collections were 1.68 trillion rupees in October 2024, or 8% higher than last year, the government said in a statement.
