Eligibility
When you go to the website, there is no such terms and conditions that is required to fill up the form or ask whether you fulfil this criteria to apply for the “Gold Card” for now. But earlier, when Trump proposed the Card, it was as a replacement for the EB-5 investor visa programme, which has an eligibility. The programme grants green cards to foreigners who invest between $800,000 and $1.05 million into US job-creating projects. The EB-5 programme has long suffered from backlogs and accusations of fraud.“Wealthy people will be coming into our country by buying this card,” Trump said in February.“They’ll be wealthy, and they’ll be successful, and they’ll be spending a lot of money, and paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people.”He added, “It’s a road to citizenship for people and essentially people of wealth or people of great talent where people of wealth pay for those people of talent to get in.”
