US tariffs loom over Southeast Asia trade talks – Meeting Overview

Most Southeast Asian countries face tariffs of 19–20%, while Laos and Myanmar have been hit with 40%. Singapore has a comparatively lower tariff of 10%. Malaysian Trade Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz, who is hosting the talks, said, “Whether we will be discussing tariffs, it’s something that we will see.”
